Dr.Matthew Hinsley:
We are delighted to have Mr. Yamashita here with us, this a dream that we held for many years, and we turned 20 this year, this organization, and we have many great guitar players in the world, and Mr. Yamashita is one of the great guitar player in the world, and we hope that he will come back again soon.
One of most important part of our organization is community service base programing, we have large educational program that is now seeing 650 students a day, so we are rolling that program into a large international convention next June that will have a youth festival as well as many famous artists at Long Center. We believe that classical guitar is a great ambassador for fine arts, for diverse students, and for population. We hope that our international convention and artists like Mr. Yamashita will help us to continue that ambassadorship. We will be expecting 500-600 people tonight for the concert.
Mr. Kazuhito Yamashita:
The first performance was held in San Francisco, Seattle, then Austin is the last stop. I will go back to Nagasaki, I have been Texas couple times like Houston and Dallas, but Austin is my first time. I like Austin, the people are very nice, I will be leaving tomorrow. I will be playing 3 pieces of music, “The Blue Flower”, “Cello Suite No.1” and “Violin Sonata No.2”, it's hard to pick my favorite piece, they all are my favorite. The first is a very long piece, it's 45 minutes. I will be recording these pieces into CD, the CD is not available in America, but will be available through iTunes.
