| The Epoch Times publication of the editorial series entitled The Nine Commentaries On the Communist Party ("Nine Commentaries", http://ninecommentaries.com/ ) in November 2004 has quickly triggered a huge Mainland China and worldwide tide of withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, including withdrawals from Youth League and the Young Pioneers, collectively termed the “Three Withdrawals.” To provide the Chinese people practical assistance and help to sever relationships with the Chinese Communist Party, The Global Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (GSCQCCP) was established on February 22, 2005, a historic moment. The GSCQCCP located in the United States of America is a registered non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. At present, more than 100 regional service centers or the service stations have been independently established in more than 30 countries and regions in Five Continents around the world. Thousands of volunteers have provided various services to aid Chinese people to withdraw from Communist Party organizations. The service centers in different regions have the following main responsibilities:1. Receive people’s three withdrawals phone calls and facsimiles, and help them publish their statements at the Quitting CCP website http://tuidang.epochtimes.com, including verbal statements. 2. Set up service sites in Chinese communities, tourist spots and other places; play sound recordings and the video recording; hold photo exhibits, widely disseminate the “Nine Commentaries” and information about quitting the Chinese Communist Party. 3. According to the constitutions and the legal stipulations of the countries and the regions, Organize and participate in various assemblies and seminars to support the people in China who quit the Party; make people aware of the Chinese Communist Party’s harassment and persecution towards the people who have quit the Party and at the same time, introduce government officials, representatives, international organizations and media to the “Nine Commentaries” and the “Three Withdrawals.” This effort also includes the introduction of the incidents of the evil Communist Party persecuting the people who have quit the Party, to win support from worldwide just forces. 4. Utilize online chat rooms, telephone calls, facsimiles, emails, radio broadcasts and many other methods to deliver the “Nine Commentaries” to all areas in China and publicize the progress and information of the “Three Withdrawals,” and answer the citizens' related questions. We welcome and accept donations from individuals and organizations. According to need, the service centers in different areas should register independently in their local areas and apply for funds from the local governments. The GSCQCCP’s website provides everyone with a platform of information and experience sharing about global activities resulting from dissemination of the “Nine Commentaries” and about the “Three Withdrawals.” The service centers in different areas should collectively support various columns in the website and provide information and reports for the website. The GSCQCCP, in cooperation with Quitting the Party website ( In Chinese) of The Epoch Times, has established an ongoing, informative news column that features information regarding the “Three Withdrawals.” This column will publish guidelines and methods for registering and transmitting lists of names of people who did the “Three Withdrawals.” This column also contains working instructions and will correct potential problems in a timely manner for the rapidly increasing number of volunteers in different regions. These volunteers are the people aiding in the distribution of the “Nine Commentaries” and are the ones urging people to accomplish the “Three Withdrawals.” We want to do this to be certain we can carry on our work in a serious and ethical manner. | About Us - Introduction | | Written by Quit CCP Center | | Saturday, 05 July 2008 16:33 | Quit the CCP Movement Q: What are some of the reasons for quitting the CCP that people mention in their statements? China / Communist Party / Chinese people I want to quit CCP Quit CCP Service Center Nine Commentaries Q: How and when did the Quit the CCP movement start?
A: The massive wave of resignations from the Chinese Communist Party began in late 2004 after the The Epoch Times published its Chinese-language edition of “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.” This publication revealed for the first time a historical account of the CCP’s formation, its advocacy of violence and deception, its destruction of traditional beliefs and the disaster it has brought upon the Chinese people.
In December 2004, soon after the release of the Nine Commentaries, people began to resign from the Party. (video introduction) The Nine Commentaries is now #1 on the CCP’s Internet blockade list.
Q: Where do people post their resignation statements?
A: Resignation statements are posted on the Quit the CCP Statement Website at http://tuidang.epochtimes.com/. The server is located outside of China. All the statements are easy to browse and search by keywords on the website.
Q: How can the Chinese in mainland China publish statements on a blocked overseas website?
A: To publish a formal statement on the Quit CCP Statement Website, which is blocked by China's Great Firewall, people can use one of following methods:
- Break the Internet blockade by using secure anonymous proxies or technologies, such as software tools provided by Ultrareach, Gpass or Dynamic Internet Technology Inc., which are all free for Chinese to use. For details, please check 'break net blockage' section at left side of the page - Get help from the volunteers at the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP. There are over 60 local service centers or service booths in major cities around the world which make and accept phone calls, faxes and emails to and from Chinese people to help them to publish their statements on the website.
The Global Service Center also distributes free software for breaking the blockade to those who wish to quit the Party.
Q: Are people required to use their real name when publishing their statement?
A: People can choose to use their real name or an alias.
Q: Why do some people use an alias?
A: To the CCP, fewer members means less control, and they consider withdrawing from the Party as similar to being against the Party.
The CCP’s repression of those who quit the Party has happened from the very beginning of the Quit the CCP movement. Well-known Chinese lawyer Gao Zhisheng was sentenced to four years in jail because of his support of the movement; likewise writer and website director Li Hong (Zhang Jianhong), who was sentenced to six years in prison.
A list of 91 Chinese people who have been abducted, detained or persecuted because they quit the CCP is available under 'Quit the CCP Movement'-> 'repression' section on this site.
So using an alias is a way to protect oneself from being persecuted by the CCP.
Q: Why is Quit the CCP sometimes called the 'Three Withdrawals' ?
The 'Three Withdrawals' refers to Withdrawal from the three communist organizations that most people join: the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the Chinese Youth League (CYL) and the Chinese Young Pioneers (CYP).
Q: Where in China do people who quit the CCP come from?
A: Quit CCP Service Centers receive and make phone calls to people in all parts of China. People living in large cities use the Internet to quit more often than those who live in the countryside.
The technology company Dynamic Internet Technology provides statistics of the IP source that Chinese people use to announce their statement on the Quit the CCP website. (link)
Q: What is the average number of people who quit the CCP every day?
A: From the numbers on the Quit the CCP Statement Website, which is updated almost at real time, it can be seen that in recent months people have been resigning at a rate of 50,000 to 70,000 per day.
Q: What are some of the reasons for quitting the CCP that people mention in their statements?
A: Many people stated that after they came to realize the true nature of the Party — which has not changed with the development of the economy — and the crimes the CCP committed both in the past and the present, people said they felt ashamed to remain part of the organization and their conscience drove them to quit.
Some of the CCP’s crimes and abuses mentioned in the statements include:
- CCP policies which resulted in the deaths of an estimated 80 million Chinese people in less than 60 years
- The massacre of students on Tiananmen Square in Beijing in1989
- The torture and killing of Falun Gong practitioners, ongoing
- Organ harvesting from live prisoners, ongoing
- The persecution of Christians and Uyghur Muslims, etc, ongoing
- Lack of freedom of speech, ongoing
- No democracy
- Cheating the Chinese people, ongoing
- Corruption, ongoing
Q: Are there any well-known people who have quit the CCP?
A: Yes. These include:
Ms. Huang Xiaomin, the coach for the South Korean National Swim Team and former Chinese Olympic medalist;
Mr. Chen Yonglin, former Chinese diplomat in Australia who defected publicly in June 2005;
Mr. Hao Fengjun, former police officer with the 6-10 Office, a Nazi Gestapo-like organization, in Tianjin City, east China
Mr. Gao Zhisheng, outstanding Chinese human rights lawyer
There are many others. Please check the menu at the top of this site, 'Quit the CCP Movement' -> ' Big Names'.
| News - Announcement | 1. With the quitting of the CCP, one will be protected by God, will obtain the wisdom and energy to defeat the evil specter of the CCP
The vast number of human-right activists, anti-violence demonstrators, and those who have been suppressed by the CCP, please remember: In order to succeed in human-right and anti-violence movements, one must first quit the CCP. By doing so, you will be protected by God and be provided with the energy to defeat the CCP. This is what the saying of "heaven blessing China, heaven eliminating CCP" is all about. In the meantime, by joining the scattered human-right and anti-violence forces with the bigger historic current of quitting and disintegrating the CCP, we can completely disintegrate the CCP and all its affiliations, and eventually succeed in human-right and anti-violence movements.
2. Participation of all to stop the persecution
No matter in China or the rest of the world, Chinese people should all participate and contribute time, effort or money to disclose the evil nature of the CCP by promoting the "Nine Commentaries" and the "Quitting the CCP" movement. By completely destroying those things symbolicly associated with the CCP, such as flags, banners, books, paintings, etc., we will clean out all things where the evil specter can attach itself to. By all means, we will stop those remaining CCP members from persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and inflicting more sufferings on the Chinese people.
3. Carry out actions to stop CCP's damaging acts overseas
Let us condemn CCP's latest crime in Slovakia. Let us disclose and resist CCP spies' infiltration and other unscrupulous activities. Let us gain the understanding and support from more governments, officials, and general public in spreading the "Nine Commentaries" and "Quitting the CCP" movement. Let us further wipe out the poisonous CCP culture, while promoting the renaissance of the traditional Chinese culture. Let us make the CCP overseas organizations lose their playground like rats being chased in the streets.
4. Publicly quitting the CCP is the key to the quick disintegration of the CCP
As Chinese people, if you have been persecuted by the CCP in any ways or forms, if you have been looking for the most straightforward and effective way to express your defiance, please publicly quit the CCP. Your spirit will be freed and you will be blessed by God.
As private property owners, when your homes demolished, your stores confiscated, your stocks valueless, please publicly quit the CCP in order to express your condemnation!
As the victims of CCP's several decades of "battling with heaven and fighting with the earth", please publicly quit the CCP to express your resistance!
As the survivors of the CCP's political movements or family members whose relatives were killed in those movements, please publicly quit the CCP, then you can ask for the pay-back!
As veteran soldiers, who have been unfairly treated, please publicly quit the CCP, if you wish to protest or even to start an uprising!
As farmers whose land, on which you rely your life, has been confiscated by the CCP, please publicly quit the CCP if you wish to protest!
As intellectuals, when you are deprived of the freedoms of the speech and of the press, please publicly quit the CCP to express your discontent!
As lawyers, when your acts of justice have been prohibited by the CCP, when you are persecuted the same way as Gao Zhisheng has been, please publicly quit the CCP to voice your contempt!
As the CCP-controlled news media personnel, when your will and spirit are being exploited by the CCP in order to deceive the nation, please publicly quit the CCP to express your true opposition!
As women, when your rights have been violated by the CCP, just as Deng Yujiao was deemed guilty because of her self-protection against three CCP scoundrels, please publicly quit the CCP to express your anger and protest!
As parents, if you wish to prevent your children from having the same fate as the victims of WenChuan earthquake or the poisonous baby powder, please publicly quit the CCP and help your children to quit the CCP affiliated youth leagues.
The forthcoming new wave of quitting the CCP will free more Chinese people's spirit from the shackle of the evil specter of the CCP, will even more quickly and thoroughly disintegrate the CCP, will completely stop the persecution, and will soon usher in the new era without the evil specter of the CCP.
